Inspired By Andy Butler & Chuck Close

Two artists when thinking of distorted portraits are Andy Butler and Chuck Close. each with a dramatically different style. Here I study them both, Andy Butler’s circular compositions and fragmented portraits as well as Chuck Close’s grid system and abstract colour applications. Then I compose a final portrait blending their styles together.
